What to do with Christmas Tree light for next 11 months

Christmas tree will be up for another week or so but what are some suggestions that I can do with my smart Christmas Tree lights (Govee) that are 100ft long? It seems a shame for them to sit in a box unused until November.

It needs to be tasteful for the WAF. I'm thinking of running them under couch in home theater so bulbs aren't seen but create a nice glow. Not many other creative ideas in mind.

top of kitchen cabinets...

Cabinets go to ceiling and already have under-cabinet lights

How about stringing them up in the garage, if you have one. No WAF factor at play there, I would assume.

Or, in the home theater room, can it be connected to a music feed, for a, dare I say, disco effect?

Mood lighting?

You know they'll be coming out with something next year that'll make these things obsolete?

Attach them to your clothing and parade around the house.

At the base of the kitchen cabinets, over the kick plate.

The problem with this strategy is you may not get them back as Xmas lights in 11 months.

  • Under your bed, motion activated at night, like a cool night light
  • Backyard, on fence-top, use white only, turn on at night when open door to go out (or Mount on eaves, same use

I already have Hyperion running LEDs behind my theater screen and LOVE IT!

I already have dumb motion activated LEDs under bed but I really like the thought of putting them on backyard fence.

Thanks for the ideas all

Ahem,
seeing as you are in Texas...

I offer two ideas:

Back lighting on something like this that you put up on your patio wall ( like just about everyone else )

OR, and your wife is gonna love this idea....

Buy one of these for every season, winter-spring-summer-fall, and hang it....re-wrap/changing out the lights every 3 months (didn't say YOU were gonna love the idea)

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. Up until about 2 1/2 years ago, I was a resident of the greater DFW area. However, now we are north of Baltimore in the corn country practically in Pennsylvania.

This is displayed next to front door in Maryland.

Not everybody realizes how quickly you can be out in some REALLY rural areas within a fairly short drive of the DC-Balmer-Philly corridor. Don't stay too long or you'll be putting Old Bay on your BBQ...and that's not gonna fly with the folks back in Driftwood. :grimacing:

Too late! There is a BBQ chain here called Mission BBQ that has an Old Bay BBQ sauce and it is outstanding!
