What order to build out my network

Yes, this is going a bit too far, but I thought I'd ask...the answers will probably be yes, no, maybe, and just don't worry that much :grinning:

I know I should start with line powered devices close to my hub and move out to the edges...and I'm pretty sure this is going to not much difference...especially with an 800 series Z8.

I have two story house...but the second floor is a basement. There are no concreate basement walls "in the line of sight" of my hub. The floor itself between the first floor and the basement is wooden.

Should I look at these as all physical distance from the hub no matter where they are? After all, many in the basement are physically closer than ones in my upstairs bedroom...all have walls or floor between them.

Imagine a 3D sphere with the hub being in the middle. Work outward towards the edges regardless of whether or not they are on the same floor.

What @FriedCheese2006 said. The closer to the center of your home you can make it, the better it will be... Keep antennas verticle (If you're mounting on a wall, 1 up and 1 down is fine)

Thanks! Kind of what I was thinking, but thanks for the conformation!

Thanks! I had to pick a floor....but since I have a few devices outside it's on the 1st floor... it's as close to that as I can get.
