What is the best Presence Sensor?

Hey,
I’m using an foreign Hubitat (Germany) with an externe Z-Wave Controller that is: ZMEEUZBB.
I don’t want a bad iPhone standby problem so the question is: what Presence Detector is good, I’ve seen mainly the SMARTTHINGS Presence detector as option?

iPhone XR with Homebridge/HomeKit for me has been great. Any chance you’re considering an iPhone upgrade?

ST Presence sensor modded with AA batteries has been solid for my pops. My wife and I use a combo of life 360 and hubitat which has also been solid for us.

+1 On the Life360

The Hubitat App running on a recent iPhone doesnt noticeably drain the batteries even with geolocation enabled. The iOS handles location way in the background (mostly from cell towers) using only very low standby power.

I have a different solution, "out of the box".
I have a Hank 4 button controller in my car. I punch a button when I get home (to open the door, open the garage, turn on some lights, etc.). When I do that I also set the presence.
Similarly when I leave, I punch another button, which does a whole lot of "away" activities.
Distance can be as much as 30 feet from the nearest zwave device (and thru a garage door!)

As long as I remember, it works perfectly, every time.

An Xbee3 pro has the best range if setup correctly (spec'd at LOS 2 miles but realistically 1/4 mile).
SmartThings Arrival sensor work well also but range is not the greatest.
both locally run.
I like life360 also but is dependent on the internet.
I use all three
There is also the Hubitat app presence

Thanks so far,
Is there an option to use and come around the iPhone Problem with standby?
Should work at leaving the room, leaving the house wlan??
