What does "Ignore ZDO command reports" do on devices

I've noticed this option on my zigbee device page.
I've not activated it so it is off on my zigbee devices.
I'm just wondering what it actually does.
Under what circumstances would you want to activate this.

I've had a quick search of the forum but could not find an explanation.
Thanks.

I've a zigbee only home, yet have no idea about what you're seeing.

Which device(s) display that option for you?

This is from the device page.
The device is using "Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint Switch" driver.

I've never seen it before, but I've never used that driver.

I wondered that myself. I installed a zigbee relay last week, freeing myself from the MyQ garbage, and saw that option in the driver.
Found out that it was added in 2.2.9:

  • Add Ignore ZDO command reports option to Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint Switch (enable to suppress duplicate log events)

Thanks for digging. :+1:
I obviously didn't go back far enough.
