What do I do when Rule Machine won't let me fix a rule?

While editing an end date on a required expression on an existing rule, apparently I put in a date it didn't like and before I could save it, it gave me this error message:

What am I supposed to do now? Leaving and reloading the rule editor gives me the same error message so I'm locked out of the rule and can't edit it. Frustrating....

Whenever this has happened to me I've always inevitably ended up just deleting the rule and redoing it.

Unfortunately I agree.

Other options are to restore a previous backup, export the rule in question, restore current backup and import rule.

Just as general practice, I always clone a rule, pause the original, and edit the newly cloned rule. That way you have a reference as to what you started with, and as a backup in case something goes wrong.

I'm curious how you got April 31 into a rule. If you can reproduce that, I'll find a fix for this issue.

It originally said March 31st. I changed the March to April and before I could change the 31st to 1st, it gave me that error message..... does that help?

Thanks... That does help. I can probably fix this. But for your broken rule, remove it and make it new.
