I can't tell you anything about mesh because I avoid using it across my three hubs (seems to me people have far too many problems from it, and I just don't need it). But as someone who lives on an island in a lake in rural Maine, power outages are not at all uncommon. I have all my hubs on a UPS that keeps things going until the generator autostarts, and I don't notice any problems at all with my z-wave devices. They just reconnect, and life goes along merrily.

Yeah, I have small UPSes scattered around the house. But none of my zigbee or zwave devices are mission-critical, more convenience and monitoring. I can do without them for a bit, I would just prefer they all recover nicely. I guess the real answer is... I should test it!
