WHA - Alexa and HE

I am not having a problem - I'm asking about usage mainly. My Echo/Amazon integration works very well - I moved from Heroku to a local Synology NAS and have been problem free.

The implementation of Echo Speaks into my environment created a device called EveryWhere (WHA). I believe WHA means Whole Home Audio - as on the Alexa side, it is a group of whatever devices I've added to it. In my case, the default was all echo devices. This device works perfectly well - for example getting sync'd music to all 7 echo devices. really impressive actually.
When I control the HE device Everywhere, the individual Echo's on my dashboard don't reflect. Only the WHA device does. This is a bit like the HE problem of before with Groups not reflecting state of the individual devices. Again, this is NOT a problem.

My real question is, other users with multiple echo's - do you use HE for control of music or bypass and just use alexa voice commands? Do you use dashboards to watch what Alexa is doing or stay in the Alexa environment? Is there a WHA application somewhere that you've found useful - outside of Alexa or HE?

I will note that myself, things like setting volumes for modes, sleep time DND and Display Off etc are handled by my HE, but I generally bypass HE for anything audio related excepting of course notifications and speak strings.

Not really though I occasionally set it up to play songs when someone is at the door - jingle bells during Christmas, God Save the King for Coronation Weekend, things like that.

Generally I let that stuff stay in the Alexa environment.

I use a combination of HE, webcore, dashboards and Alexa to control all of my home audio. It works very well.

We usually ask Alexa to play music in my house.
