I like it. The main limitation for us now is our engineering bandwidth with a few urgent bug fixes necessary to our core product. Any chance you're able to help us on the programming side with implementation? Our device runs embedded C and we use Node.js on the backend.
Can I suggest you look into using the Paho MQTT client library? It is designed to be lean for IoT projects.

Hows the progress of this? Does this run in Home Assistant, I run both.
We are adding a json option for LAN HTTP requests, and overall LAN HTTP request stability has been improved. Both of these should make for improved Hubitat integration. Regarding Home Assistant, we see there are MQTT based plugins that would make Knocki's integration with it easier, and it sure would be nice to be able to enable that! Right now, our small team is working on a few more "main stream" integrations that we're getting a higher volume of requests for, but Home Assistant definitely has its share of votes as a feature for us to release.
