Is anyone aware of how to compile a number of pistons.... the only way I know , is to open each piston, in edit mode , then save it.. But I have dozens and when theres an update to Webcore, they all must be recompiled..
I have never had to update my pistons after an webcore update.
In general you do not need to edit pistons (unless you want to make a bunch of changes yourself).
If you want webcore to re-subscribe, you can pause/resume the pistons.
This can be done at the main IDE screen (see the three vertical dots on the right of a piston name). This is the main screen listing all your pistons
- there is an option there to pause, then you can resume it
Its happened to me a few times, as recently as last night - as theres a new Webcore release (use HPM Repair to get it).
ahh simply Pause and resume - thats SOOOOO much easier .. thank you !!
that 'warning' does not require any action other than ensure both files are the same version.
HPM does funny things when both files are updated...it treats updates like new installs which is not how packages work in HE.
Ok so a pause and resume will ensure that both files are the same ?
Every time a piston runs it checks it. Likely that piston ran during the HPM repair/update, so it caught the files out of date. If the repair/update completed you should be all set.
If you don't like that in the logs, in the main webcore app there is the ability to clear all the piston logs
HE console -> apps -> webcore -> settings -> clear logs, traces, stats & caches
