Webcore config understanding

Hoping someone can shed light on this for me.

I am running Webcore for all my automations. I absolutely love it. However I really need a better understanding of the configuration. Im using the internal Webcore in my C8. I understand that all my pistons reside on my C8 hub but they are also replicated on a Webcore cloud under https://dashboard.webcore.co/. Is that correct ?

I just bought a C8 Pro and want to use the internal Webcore on it. That would give me 2 webcore instances (C8 + C8 Pro) I assume , if my assumption that is correct , that both are replicated to the Webcore cloud ?

Please clarify as I may be completely out to lunch.

I did some research and I think I've concluded on my earlier config question.. I'm responding in the case that others may have the same question, and for the ones in the know, to validate....

  1. Webcore app is local to the HE hub ...
  2. Webcore stores all Pistons locally on your HE hub
  3. The Webcore Dashboard (https://dashboard.webcore.co) is hosted on the cloud
  4. When you retrieve or edit your piston, it is retrieved from your HE Hub and managed through the Cloud Dashboard (piston mods etc)
  5. When you save your piston, the cloud Dashboard saves it on your HE Hub
  6. Automatic Piston backups are backed up on the Cloud

In summary (I hope i'm correct in assuming), Pistons only live in 1 spot which is your HE hub.. They can be backed-up on the cloud but the primary piston is on the HE Hub.

The Dashboard , which is Cloud based, retrieves and save pistons from your HE Hub. But I also noticed that you can use a "local dashboard" app right from the Webcore app on the HE hub.
