I bought a floating sensor for my daughter's wading pool years ago when I was first starting on all my weather drivers... It failed almost immediately after the warranty ran out (wonder if they have some slow-degrading water seal)... But it was interesting to see the pool temperature easily rather than just rely on her "it's freezing..." or "it's toasty..."
