Warning UK Neo Coolcam ZWave Plugs melting

I just had a zwave Neo Coolcam where the Live Terminal that plugs into the socket melted.

Noticed the smell first, then that the washing machine had gone off mid wash.

The washing machine was pulling 2.5kW, 10A, the Coolcam melted into the wall socket!

Fortunately the Coolcam had switch off power.

The socket was fused with a 13A fuse and that did not blow.

Now moving all my Coolcams offline, maybe put them on something that draws less power, a USB charger etc.

Just be very careful using these.

That could have been much much worse.

I melted a Xiaomi/Aqara socket when I switched my Fujitsu air conditioner to High Power for 10 minutes.

Wow that's bad. I bought a few of those when I first got my C7. I found they were really poor repeaters so changed them for Fibaro models - I'm glad I did! I have a washing machine plugged into one of the Fibaros without issue and their website shows one used for a washing machine on the website.

The only issue I've found with the UK Fibaro outlets is that the switch seems to fail. It'll switch on/off by command normally, the button is functional when used for inclusion/exclusion but it just won't manually turn the outlet on/off.

I am very unhappy with the EU version of Neo Coolcam ZWave plugs, I could not configure my 2 devices to send the automatic reports only as frequently as I need. They were flooding my Zwave network with unnecessary VoltageMin / VoltageMax and other useless readings too frequently, definitely affecting the other Zwave devices that I actually need. Both ended up in the junk drawer.
