I have just a few Matter TP Link smart plugs. They have been working fine for several months now. Just yesterday one of them went offline. I tried refreshing, initialization, configuring with no effect. Since I am not at that location I can't unplug and plug back in.
Any other suggestions I can try remotely to wake the device up and get it back on line?
Plug it into a zigbee plug so you can power it down and up again 
I just had the same issue with one in a hard to reach place. So I replaced it with a zigbee plug.
It's too bad these devices aren't more resilient to detect some sort of connection loss and then start a recovery loop to try to recover the link. Final recourse would be a reboot. Seems that wouldn't be that complicated to add to the code base. I did it in some ESP32 (WiFi) temp probes I have. It was just a few lines of code.
I have a similar problem but its getting them back working after a short power outage and not remotely
Just an update here. The Matter device has somehow healed itself. It started working again and show up in the matter detail list properly now. IDK what caused it to repair but it did somehow....
