Would it be possible to have an "next unused ID number" option for a Virtual Device Network ID when you create one? I don't keep a list of Network IDs and although the list of recently typed values that appears in the entry box is a clue, I have often selected an in use ID that causes an error an clears out the title and device type so I have to start again. I don't really care what the device ID is, all I want is for it to use a free one.
I just copy the name i assigned to the device for the virtual device network id.
There really isnt a next unused device network id, zigbee and zwave have independent addressing, lan devices can have Mac, ip or ip and port.
Using the device name is safe since you're unlikely to create two devices with the same name.
