I was wondering if I need to use a variable connector for every variable I make?
For instance I have a rule with a local string variable that I only use in the rule. Does that have to be connected to anything?
Is there someplace I can read up on exactly what a connector is used for.

If you don't use the variable out side the rule and do not need to trigger off the rule you don't need to create a connector.
In the next version I believe they are adding events for variables, you would only need then if it was to be access outside the rule.
Most of what I know about the new implementation of variables I got from this thread.
