Using WATO for device commands

WATO works for any device commands not just on and off.

Okay...how? I couldn't see any way to set a dimmer to the value of the attribute.

let me try it myself … so this is a dimmer switch and you want to set the level?

Equal to the humidity.

details … details

try the new version up on github

Do you have a link so I don't have to search for it?

Tried that...totally locked up my hub. So, Think I'll be rolling back to the old one.

WATO locked up your hub? :open_mouth:

with @bravenel splitting the thread moved my response here:

ok. i now have a WATO setup that sets one of the bathroom lights to the value of the humidity attribute whenever the humidity goes over 55. lets see if i can repro.

@Ryan780 i have been running the new version of WATO with the specific scenario of using the attribute value to set a light level … cant seem to get my hub to lockdown or even slowdown.

if you dont mind please give the new version a try and see if it was a fluke or there is something going on that i need to dig in to.

thank you.

I wasn't the one who was looking for that functionality. It was someone else. I'd rather not risk another lockup since it isn't something I plan to implement.

ok. no plans to update to future versions of WATO?
