Does "swap device" work when swapping a mesh connected device to an LR connected device, both device are Zooz ZSE44 one is an older 700 device and the other is an 800 based device?
The radio protocol used by the device doesn’t impact the “swap device” feature. You could go from z-wave to zigbee, matter, virtual device (which has no radio or even a physical device), etc.

To add to what @marktheknife wrote, the only thing that matters with "Swap Device" is that it will not work with child devices.
