Using Hub Information Drivers In Two Dashboards - One Dashboard Is Not Updating

Good morning all,

Using the hubinformation driver I setup a series of virtual drivers under the "System Services" section Easy Dashboard formatted for a windows desktop layout [shown below]. Using those exact same virtual drivers I put them in similar layout for an iPad [shown below].

Again, a BIG thank you to thebearmay :slightly_smiling_face: !!

When the drivers were added to the initial desktop layout they worked perfectly. When the same drivers were added to the iPad layout it appears only a few of the drivers are reporting data. The majority are reporting unknown. See the iPad vs. the desktop screens. I first thought that possibly enough time has not lapsed for the driver refresh times to expire, refresh, and eventually update. I do believe enough time has expired and no longer believe that to be the case.

Is anyone else using the same virtual driver in multiple desktops with success?

Thanks, Don

I've done it several times, shouldn't be an issue. There are some differences between the EZ-Dash and the Classic but the driver doesn't care who views the data. Are you running two virtual devices or one? (You only need one instance.)

Good morning,

Traveling so responses may be untimely. I re-created all dashboards to EZ-Dashboards so using them only.

I created one virtual device / driver for each measurement / attribute. I then used that same driver on each dashboard.

I did this so as to not have a single driver with a heavy polling interval required for one attribute replicated for measurements that was only checking; for example, the sunrise attribute. Now as I am writing this I realize one driver with all the attributes polling one time would work. Yikes. When I return I will combine all the polling settings into one driver.

Thanks for confirming that the same driver can work across multiple EZ-Dashboards. I will report back to you after combining the drivers into one and updating all those tiles

As always, appreciate the help!

Don

Good morning,

Looks like it is actually working as expected after all. Upon returning pleasantly found the updated dashboard below  !

I did leave enough time but maybe it took an extra cycle or so...not sure but working just fine after all.

Thanks,
Don
