Is there a way to use the existing ring motion and contact sensors in the hubitat eco system where I can have hubitat automate with adding them to the unofficial ring integration?
If they are Ring Alarm sensors they should be able to connect as Zwave+ devices; if however, they use the Ring Light hub normally no go.

You have the choice to link them to Hubitat or Ring alarm, unless you want both, in which case the only option is the unofficial integration.
