Upgrading to GigE in next model?

I'd really like to hang a Hubitat off my Unifi access point that has a passthrough ethernet port. If you hook up 100mbit to it that will drop the access point to 100mbit as well. So would be nice if this was gigE even though I know it won't use that bandwidth.

I had the same problem connecting a different fast ethernet device to an UAP-AC-PRO, I like to use wire as much as possible to avoid issues so I ended getting some of these 3com/HP Gigabit switches:

These are long discontinued but you can find them on eBay cheap and they are an awesome little device!, they have 2 PoE ports that provide power out of the main main PoE uplink port and two independent PoE passtrough ports, and they are manageable so you can even configure vlans, etc. Great little switches for your desk, entertainment units, etc.

Just be carefure some auctions do not come with the wall bracket but if you are not planning on actually putting it on a wall those are cheaper...
