Your title says Zigbee, but your message says No Zwave. In your previous threads you were talking about Matter and Wifi.
Could you clarify which you are having trouble with?
Are there any logs that might show what is happening? Things that say Error or Warn are things you typically would see that need further investigation.
I'm not sure what you mean precisely by "Upgraded". Did you restore a migration (cloud) backup from the C-5 to the C-8 Pro? Or did you restore a local backup made on the C-5 to the C-8 Pro?
Which thread are you referring to? You can link to it from this thread.
Clarifying
Migration from Cloud
Devices on C8 Pro-LAN, Zigbee, Matter
NO ZWAVE DEVICES
I managed to get most of the Zigbee devices working via a power cycle except 2.
None of my Matter devices work and I didn't realize it because none in any schedule.
All the Zigbee devices are working.
One Zigbee device is not working properly
Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint Switch that controls 4 irrigation zones. z=Zoned work via control on devices page but do not work on the dashboard.
None of the matter devices are working except controlled locally where available.
I received no response from my last input.
Here is what had to do to get the devices working again
The goal was to migrate from a a C5 to a C8 Pro.
I followed the "How to Migrate to a New Hub" in Hubitat Documentation.
After the Migration none of my Zigbee or Matter devices were responsive and my
static IP address also did not migrate.
It was quite frustrating trying to get the all of the devices on hub to work without any help.
To get the Zigbee devices to respond I had to remove power to the device.
Imbedded devices required finding the breaker that supplied power to the device.
To get the Matter devices working required several steps and was a PIA.
Each Matter device Removed from Hubitat devices. A new setup code had to be generated on the hub where the Matter device was first commissioned. Then added to Hubitat devices.
All the devices are operational now.
And any of the devices that were in use by apps had to be re added.
I guess I am still confused about what the question is, or if you are still having issues?
You still are saying "NO ZWAVE DEVICES" which could mean none are migrated, or that you don't own any Z-wave devices. Not sure which?
Then at other places you say your devices are working.
This is probably a "me" issue of not getting what you are asking, so hopefully you are all sorted out now.
Look
I needed help and was not able to find a solution
I had to screw around until I got all the devices to work,
Sorry I didn't spell it out for you.
I don't have any Zwave devices in my network nor own any and don't plan on purchasing any.
Other then that I followed the "How to Migrate to a New Hub" in Hubitat Documentation and
as I stated in my original post only my LAN devices worked but no Zigbee, Later i found that the matter devices as well did not work.
So to sum it up 1 of the 3 types of devices worked (LAN) that I have on my network after I migrated from the C5 to the C8-Pro. It remains to be seen that all the apps and rules work. I guess I'll figure that out if my home automation is not working as it should. For me I prefer the ESP8266 devices that can be flashed with other firmware.

hmmmm question for the general community.... considering a C5 - C8 Pro upgrade myself in the near future. Is it SOP to have to power cycle zigbee devices after upgrading or is there some other reason why ekraus had to do it? It almost looks like the power cycle process could be related to OTA encryption. I have a house full of Inovelli Blue switches and also many zigbee outlets and battery powered sensors. It would be nice to know if I have to be prepared for this.
I migrated my Zigbee network (~65 devices) twice, once from a C7 to a C8, and later from the C8 to a C8-Pro. In neither case did I have to touch my Zigbee devices. They all just kept on working. I did take care to make sure that after I created the cloud migration backup on the old hub, that I proactively disabled the Zigbee and Z-Wave radios on that hub. I wanted to be able to power it back on later without fear of causing a conflict with the new hub. Later on, once I was pleased with the new hub, I did power on the old hub, and then performed a reset on both the Zigbee and Z-Wave radios so that I could use them again for development and testing. I used the Diagnostic Tool's Advanced Options to perform the radio resets.
C7 to C8, C8 to C8-Pro, didn't have to mess with my Zigbee devices. ![]()
Please remember that nearly everyone here is a fellow user who is volunteering their time to try to help others. FWIW, I wasn’t sure what you meant by “no z-wave” either.
Since you’re presumably posting here for help, people will ask for clarification when something isn’t clear. Sometimes even when something you wrote is as clear as day to you.
Dealing with a non-working hub is stressful but being rude to others here that are trying to help is never called for.
I just migrated 110 Zigbee devices from my C-8 to a new C-8 Pro and didn’t have to do anything to any Zigbee devices. After creating a fresh cloud backup on my C-8, I removed its dhcp assignment and powered it down. I then switched to the C-8 Pro, updated its firmware, updated both radio’s firmware, set its dhcp assignment to match the old hub’s, rebooted everything, and then restored the cloud backup. The best part was I did this early in the morning, before anyone else was awake to complain, and did it all on my iPhone without even having to get out of bed. Just like a Mastercard commercial.
LOL...you pulled it off like a Houdini! I bow to your upgrade-in-place (your bed) success!
