The last big update took quite a few rules I have, not just motion but mode, time based automations, security etc and stomped on them until they were dust, I even had to exclude a few z-wave bits and get them back on before Hubitat even thought about letting them back on the team. Each subsequent update since, I have to check everything to make sure it didnāt drop anything e.g. today it removed an action in my blind control that used Broadlink to send a RF command. Just grabbed that one bit of line and flicked it off.
This happening to anyone else?
P.s. I get itās supposed to be easier now for those who found it all difficult with things like motion based rules but can we have a choice in settings for the old normal or spoon feed me view?
This is not something updates do. It sounds more like database corruption. I would go to an earlier backup, download it, do a soft reset and then reapply the backup database. This would likely solve your issue.
Hmm, sounds like you're facing real problems. Sorry to hear. I would doubt that these problems are being driven primarily by firmware updates. Maybe if you could describe one or two of the big problems in more detail, some of us could help you?
None of that is normal, nor did most people experience such things. There have been an occasional report of similar things, but it wasn't widespread or intentional. Like @rlithgow1, if I had to guess, you got a corrupted database somewhere along the line.
I am not quite sure what you mean by that? Could you give some specific examples or screenshots? They didn't take away anything far as I can tell. They have only added new things, not removed.
I would also add, that if this is repeatedly happening, you should submit a report to support@hubitat.com email, and get a ticket started as you may have larger issues looming.
