If you look at the driver what does it say for ‘forecastIcon’?

clear

ah I think I understand

According to @josh and this list:

SharpTools Weather Tile Icon Mappings · GitHub

This is correct

If it’s ‘clear’ then @josh shows a ‘sunny’ icon

So, maybe that's the correct icon

Yes, I turned the switch from forecast to current. Waiting for a poll (manual not doing it) to see if it changes to the current conditions (partly cloudy).

I’d forgotten I added that switch
It’s been a few months since I worked on that driver
All I did yesterday was add the extra attribute and map the weather icon to it.

Andy

I just checked my code.
The switch shouldn’t make any difference for the forecastIcon attribute
I mapped it directly.
It’s only the weather icon that would change.

So if it says ‘cloudy’ that’s what wu is sending.

Andy

I could probably change the forecast icon too of you really want the current icon rather than the forecast one.
I would just need to add a bit of code.

Andy

so … you know the province you are in but not the city?

I'm in "The Beach" as the locals call it. The neighborhood is in Toronto proper. "Scarborough Junction" is a neighborhood also in Toronto, but 7 Kilometers away from here (as that's where the closest station that uploads to Apixu is).

Honestly could care less about what the weather is in another province, and if I did, I would know what I was looking at by the city or neighborhood name displayed. Wouldn't need to know the province or state to understand the dashboard tile

ha ... you should move to the US

Move back you mean. I'm from California. Never heard of Franklin.
Ben rings a bell though!

which one?

Franklin California, but I also don't know what they mean by disambiguation. They're not sure it exists, but they decided to list it anyway?

CA cant just have one of those:

To my recollection, I've never been to any of those "Franklins" in California, or even knew they existed!

probably passed thru one of those on the way to the wineries

Maybe. It's been 20 years since I was in Sonoma. I'm usually just passing through on my way to SF from Oregon.
