Unresponsive hub

I've woken up this morning to my hub not responding. Tried power cycling it, changed network cable, unplugging Zigbee stick, pinging it, no luck. Connected it directly to my router, which shows data being sent to that ethernet port, but 0 data received. The light on the Hubitat is blue.

I can't access it on :8081 either. The findmyhub page lists the correct IP address, but it appears to have cached that because it also 'finds' it there when it's completely turned off.

It's a very much loved C4 model bought in 2019, is there anything else I can try to save it?

(I tried emailing the hubitat support email but it said the address is no longer monitored - couldn't see any other direct support channels)

Sounds like the network port died. The blue led on a C-4 indicates the platform has loaded (I think).

Yeah I think the light is usually blue (ie. when hub is working).

I can't see if there are any ethernet lights on when I plug the cable in (the hubitat case design appears to block where the lights would normally be). Maybe I can take the case off and have a quick peek if there are no other suggestions on what I could try :grimacing:

Yeah, my C-4 light is Blue when it's working, and I can't see any network activity lights alongside the port on the hub.

You could try another port on the router....?

Thanks for confirming the lights

Tried a different router port (it was originally connected via a switch, then I tried directly connected), no luck

Does it show as connected in the router's admin pages? If not, it's as though the network is fried in the hub, which would be odd, and hopefully that's not it. Did you have it plugged into a switch with POE? Or have you had any power fluctuations?

It has a fixed IP in the router, so there's no DHCP lease to see (which is normal).

When connected directly to the router the port shows connected at 100/speed a second or so after plugging the power into the hub, but with 0 bytes sent from the device.

No PoE or power fluctuations.

Hmmm... Stretching my expertise / ideas at this point... Hopefully others might chime in with something useful...

Tried deleting the static IP assignment, to see if it would get a DHCP address. It didn't.

Just checked: there are no network lights on the ethernet port, even if you crack open the case  There is also a little button on the board: I was hoping it was a reset button, but couldn't get it to do anything.

I don't have any experience and little talent, but for laughs I did a search.
You said it wasn't pingable so I guess this wouldn't work?:

Thanks, I hadn't checked that page. The hub is listed, but with a last activity time of 10pm the night before it died :frowning:
