Unlock and Turn on Front porch light Rule

I have this rule which IS working OK for me in my testing this eve... posting here to see if anyone can think of anything I'm missing from it or would do to make it better?

I would put the time in the restriction instead the condition, you have the same lock twice, you could use it once and invert the front porch condition so you use the action for true and not for false. But that's me, you can still use the action for false with other suggestions.

Just curious. What is the purpose of the delay?

I would have left sunrise and sunset the way you originally had it. That way at sunset, if the lock is unlocked, the light will come on. At at sunrise, if needed, the light would turn off if you add that action. The restriction will not cause the rule to be evaluated at sunset and sunrise. Whereas using it as a condition, will.

Of course, there is nothing that will turn the light off. Is that intentional?

I just modified the rule for false to turn off the light after 5 min delay. The reason for the delay is if I open the door to leave guests out, or I walk out to my car in the driveway, I want the light to remain on for me or my guests walking to their cars, but turn off when I'm back in the house and the door locks behind me. That all usually happens within 5 minutes. I don't want to walk out, my door auto locks in 2 minutes, but I'm not back in the house yet, and the light turns off on me.

@ogiwon I thought I had a rule to auto turn off the front porch at sunrise no matter what but I must have deleted it. I'll just create a new rule to cover that aspect of ensuring the outside lights are off at sunrise. Thanks for the suggestion!

I think what they were referring to is the current way you have "True" configured is the light won't even actually come on until after a 2 minute delay has occurred, (IF) the delay doesn't get cancelled by truth change.

Yeah, I modified it, Here's the final rule which is working after testing...

I also created a new rule for turning off the outside lights (will add more as I remodel my home):

I probably could have done the outside lights off at sunrise rule with a simple lighting rule instead.
