I have a C8 Pro running platform version 2.3.9.201. I downloaded the Zigbee Map 2.2.1 from HPM to look at my zigbee mesh. When I first started reviewing it I had one unknown device. Then it grew to two. I had added some devices and removed them so I was thinking that is where the second one came from. It stayed at two for a long time. I just reviewed it again several days later and there are two more unknown for a total of four. The thing is I have not removed any devices during the time frame of the two additional unknowns.
What would cause them to continue to multiply? Is there a way to get rid of them? I have read to track down the device and try to remove it again. Problem is two of them can't be devices I removed because I haven't removed any in that timeframe.
It's usually most helpful to ask questions about community apps/drivers in their release threads, which the developer typically monitors and they will get a notification since they started the topic. So you'll usually get help from the developer or other users of the code faster.
You can also search the topic for keywords related to your question - as shown below, there have been multiple discussions in that topic regarding unknown devices that may be of use to you.
Just some info. I had three "unknown" zigbee devices. I updated the firmware for the repeater they were showing attached to. When I ran the zigbee map after the update the "unknown" zigbee devices are gone. It must have cleared the data table from the repeater.
