I was excluding and re-adding 2 Fibaro contact sensors this evening.
One added ID=75 and is working fine. The other one would always come up with "found device, ID=74 initializing..." but nothing happens. I have excluded, factory reset and generally gone in circles as Z-Wave can do to you.
Finally I pulled the battery and I still get "Found Z-Wave device with id 74, initializing..."
I have no new devices on my mesh so this looks like it's stuck somewhere in HE.
It's not in my device table or Z-Wave mesh details but it did appear a fre times while trying to add the sensor.
Anyone have an idea on clearing this phantom? I can't add my other sensor back because this on always beats me to it.
PS Mesh looks good, no ghosts.
Have you tried a clean shutdown to red light (from Diag Tools at port 8081), remove power for the hub at the wall outlet (not at the micro USB, which is fragile), leave power off for 30 sec, re-apply power and let hub boot?
Thatβs the only way to reboot the Z-Wave radio.

I did this but just from the GUI on the settings page. Are they different?
No, not as long as you disconnected power after the shutdown. Can you post a screen shot of your z-wave status page?

I did the 8081 shutdown and restart and low, the clouds parted and the device joined after all that phaffing around!
Thanks for the suggestion, must be different that the GUI shutdown as I tried that twice.

It's the same. It may have been more of a timing thing.
