I've a UDM Pro running the latest version along with Hubitat C7 updated to the current version. Unifi Protect is running successfully with a couple of Unifi cameras. All is working well.
I'm attempting to add the built-in Hubitat "Unifi Protect Integration", which appears very straight forward... created the Unifi API key (several different tries) along with adding the IP of the UDM, but I never see any camera's in the drop down. Logs report "Error fetching NVR info: HTTP 401"
I suspect I'm missing something, perhaps obvious to others, but I'm stumped. Any ideas as to what I'm missing?
Have you tried reverting back to the previous platform version?? The reason II ask.... I'm seeing this error - "status code: 401, reason phrase: Unauthorized" in the google home community app when on the latest platform version. When I revert back to 2.5.0.159 the error goes away.
Unfortunately, same HTTP 401 error. I see that Protect 7.2 is due out, so perhaps that'll help. If anyone else had issues getting the built in Unifi Protect Integration working and found solutions, let me know. Thanks again.
Ahhh, figured it out. I was setting up the API key on the UDM under the wrong setting which was a fabric API set via remote access. The Hubitat docs state:
a. Navigate to https://unifi.ui.com and log into your UniFi site
b. Select Control Plane > Admins & Users
c. Select your admin account.
d. Select Create API key
However, there an icon called 'Integrations' , lower left when logged into the UDM, and that's where the local Protect API key is set.
OK I deleted everything I posted because you were correct. There is an API creation section just to the left of the main API creation section. It is poorly labelled and has no options outside name, desc, and expiration. That is crazy...
