I have had a few unexpected reboots recently (latest being today) and I can't pin down what could be causing this. Admittedly, it's only recently that I have put an alert when HE restarts so it could be that I am only noticing this now. I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue? Firmware is 2.2.5.131, C-5. Hub is plugged into a UPS.
I have added a few devices, both Zigbee and Z-Wave (Xiaomi Light Sensor, Ecolink Tilt Sensor, Ecolink Contact Sensor, Sengled Contact Sensor) over the past few weeks and apart from the Xiaomi Light Sensor, they are using built-in drivers. Logs look clean with no errors for as long as the logs go back (about 1 week).
All devices come up fine and are responding, but I was wondering if I should be concerned.
I mean the usb cord, or the a/c adapter could be defective.
Doesn’t matter if your UPS has mains or battery power if something’s wrong electrically in between the outlet on your UPS and the micro-usb port on the hub.
Ok, thanks. I can see frequent cloud disconnects but also some frequent hub reboots too. I have escalated your case to engineering to have it looked in more details. Will PM when I hear back.
On the Feb 27, I was testing the notification, so there were/are at least 3 restarts. Other than that, my scheduled reboots are on Saturday at 7:00 AM. Thanks for escalating - please let me know if you need any other info.
From the 27th, you had 2 full reboots, one today and one on the 28th. However, you had several cloud disconnects only today. Are the two reboots legit? And how many notifications did you get?
Hmm - 28th was a Sunday, so not legit and today's is definitely not legit. I'm wondering if the cloud disconnects are because I've been noticing that my fiber connection "blips" - goes out for between 1 -3 minutes a couple of times a day. For example - I noticed that it went out about 20-25 minutes ago (about 6:10 PM US Central).
Unfortunately, the outages are so short that I can't really identify when they happen (unless I'm looking at the modem or if I happen to be on the internet at the same time). I did try setting up a monitoring service to see how often it was happening but I would need to do this every 5 seconds or so!
I don't know if this is a "thing" still, but early on there was a whole bunch of noise around slowdowns. Reasonably sure it's not required any longer but figured there was no harm.
