Unable to update Zwave Devices

I have been trying to update Zwave devices with the builtin Zwave Update.

Hub: C8 Pro
Platform Version2.5.0.157

Device I want to update: ZEN15 Powerswitch (I have tried also with Battery-operated Zwave Devices from Zooz).

I uploaded the firmware file (from Zooz), and then I am able to select the Device, and the file. and it is stuck on
Device Firmware Updater: Loading firmware file ZEN15_V02R30_US.zip
PROCESSING_FIRMWARE

And when I select a Battery-operated Zwave Device, I get the message “Device did not respond to the firmware metadata request.” (even when I fast-click the button to activate the Device)

The Zen15 is mains-operated, so I shouldn’t need to activate the device.

I don’t think you want a .zip file.

Probably the .gbl .

Move the ZEN15 closer to the hub?

Maybe switch over to JS and then do upgrade. You can return to zip afterwards.

Battery devices’ firmware upgrading is a horror show but line powered devices are pretty uneventful. I have upgraded dozens of Zooz product from this utility on both ZIP and JS.

I could never get any of my battery devices to update on zip. Changed over to JS and all my devices updated with no problem. Also all 48 zwave devices seem to be working fine on JS, was afraid to make the switch but finally did a few weeks back.
