Unable to remove failed Z-Wave nodes

I have seen there are several very old threads on the subject, but as they are all very old, I am creating a new, as I don't think my issue relates to their issues.

In Z-Wave settings screen, I have some door sensors that stopped working. They have been off the network for nearly 2 weeks, but they still appear as healthy in the z-wave settings even though they have not checked in for 2 weeks. Today, I issues a refresh, and finally the "Remove" button appeared. I clicked on remove, but nothing happened. Neither device will get removed from the network. One of them even had a routing table in the screen even though it has been offline for 2 weeks, and is in failed state.

So, out of desperation, I joined my Aeotec Z-Stick to my network, and removed them using the z-stick.

Any chance of improving this logic so that I don't need to join my z-stick and issue a Remove Failed command to the device?

I am guessing you have a C7 hub? The official word on that is that the 700 series SDK is causing the problem not the hub firmware itself. When you use a Z stick with PC Controller it is using a legacy SDK which allows easier device removals. Until Si Labs fixes the 700 series SDK we are out of luck is what we have been told :frowning:

Sometimes it works ok on the C7 and other times not. But it always works on the PC Controller for me.

Thanks for the information. I have a work-around that works. It's annoying at times, but it works.
