Unable to deregister

I sold my hubitat c7 hub but the new user is unable to use it because it is still registered to me. I tried to deregister it but since my account is still active it will not let me. I chose to cancel the account and it is pending cancellation but my subscription doesn't expire due several months. I put in a support ticket but the answer from them was to just deregister. How can I get my account cancelled? @bobbyD can you help?

You should be able to deregister the hub after canceling the subscription. Please allow up to 24 hours for the hub’s local subscription status to update. If more than 24 hours have passed, try rebooting the hub. If you’re still unable to deregister it, please reply to your support case or let us know here in the community.

I tried cancelling several days ago but my account is staying at pending cancellation and won't let anything further be cancelled or deregistered

There's nothing else that you need to do. Once the subscription is in pending cancelation, it will expire at the end of current term. That should allow you to deregister the hub. I'll take a look to see why is not letting you do it.

My subscription still have several active months but I no longer need it. Is it possible to cancel it before that term is up?

You’ve already paid for the service through its expiration date, and it will not renew, so it was effectively canceled. But since I was looking at your account, I manually changed the status.

Thank you, my status now says cancelled but it still won't let me deregister the hub

It still has this message:

Hub has active subscriptions. Services must be transferred or cancelled prior to removing this hub, otherwise they will remain active. If you register again with the same account, the services will not be restored.

Remote Admin is pending cancellation

As previously mentioned, the problem was not the status. It should allow you to deregister the hub when the status is pending cancelation. I am still investigating where the issue is.

We have released a fix for this issue. Please refresh the browser and try again. Thanks for bringing this up to our attention.
