Just got the hubitat and trying to add first device.
I've tried exclusion first, which says successful, the reboot hub and then inclusion. It say Found Z-Wave Device with id 08
Initializing
And just stuck on this.
I've tried this whole process like 5 times and same result.
How can I get this device added to hubitat?
Hub and device are about 6 feet away from each other. I've tried resetting switch to factory and cut power to switch as well.
What firmware version is hub running? In settings zwave details there is also a firmware update for the radio. Make sure both are on the latest build. There have been a lot of updates recently.
Also in settings zwave details do you see any devices in the list besides the first with nothing in the clusters column?

Not sure how to check firmware for the zwave radio.
11 is the failed pairing. Pull the air gap on the switch and leave it out until the device is removed in later step. Run a repair on 11. Safely shutdown the hub and pull power for at least 1 minute. Power it back up and run repair again should go to failed. Click remove. Factory reset the device and the run exclude. Then join it back. Should be good from there on.
Followed all your steps here, but ended up in the same result.
When running inclusion, it just gets stuck in initializing.
You were able to remove it though right?
Yes, device 11 was removed by the steps you outlined.
Now it is showing device 12.
It's not an s2 device is it? How far away from hub is it? Have line of site to hub or are there walls in the way? Try to pair it before the timer gets to 44 and let it sit for a minute or two after the timer runs out if it is initializing and hasn't prompted for a name yet. The pairing process will keep going after the time runs out.

Switch is about 3 ft from the hub.
I've waited past the timer several times, including this last attempt.
Hmm have another device you could pair first?
Upgraded to 2.2.4.141 and now the device adds without issue.
