Ultraloq Z Wave

I can't seem to get the Ultraloq Zwave Door Lock connected to the Hubitat. I have tried using Smart Start and Manually . At one point I did get it connected but skipped adding the 5 digit code for security and it did not add the device
Any had any luck?

Have you tried a factory reset to start over?

ALSO: These locks only report locked/unlocked. That's it. Nothing else unfortunatly.

To factory reset an Ultraloq Z-Wave lock, use a reset needle to press and hold the reset button (located at the bottom of the interior assembly) for approximately 3 seconds until you hear one long beep followed by two short beeps; this will erase all user data and restore the lock to its original factory settings.

Important points to remember:

** Use the U-tec App:*

If you're using the U-tec app, remove the lock from your account within the app before performing a physical reset.

** Z-Wave Hub Consideration:*

Always inform your Z-Wave hub before resetting a Z-Wave device to avoid potential performance issues.

** Check for Reset Button:*

Locate the small reset button on the lock's interior assembly using a reset needle.

@user1628 Can you post your z-wave details page in its entirety? (Use windows snip)

Well I got home tonite and viola itโ€™s connected. The Smart Start must have worked
And yes it appears you can only lock or unlock

I have 3 ghosts Iโ€™ll have to contend with ..I do have a Z wave stick.

Yeah, those ghosts will hinder adding devices.

That's why the one Ultraloq I had went in the trash can.

With everything else the UltraLoq does it will be perfect for my needs. The fingerprint , proximity unlock, multiple users some with restrictions etc and installation took minutes. Adding to HE was the pain. It does report status on a dashboard and you can lock and unlock from there if need be.
Hopefully someone will create a driver for more functionality but I'm fine for now.

What else are you throwing away ?

I still have mine... and it's sucks for that. On their forum too many requests over the last couple of years to better integreation, and all were unanswered. They don't give a F. Too bad because I really like the fingerprint entrance and the way you can hide entering in a code from onlookers instead.

Don't hold your breath. lol

Nope. Even Ultraloq won't fix battery issues many report (but definitely doesn't affect everyone) or add any zwave features. It is basically as-is until dead.

And I agree, for those that don't have the battery drain/high frequency repeated message issue or need code used info, it can be a good lock. The hardware is nice.
