hi again cleaver peoples, I have 2 dogs that like to leave presents, so I would like a notification on my door when the tv isn't being watched and the door has been left open.
I have a rule that half works, ie when the door has been left open and the tv hasn't been turned on the notifications will sound, but if at the end of the night someone turns the tv off and leaves the door open there our no notifications?
I use RM for just about everything so my suggestion is in that form. Basically you want the logic to be
Trigger: Entertainment TV OR Entertainment Room Door OR Entertainment Room Sliding Door CHANGE
IF .....
the conditions you want notifications for
THEN
notifications
ENDIF
Looks right to me.

thank you for your help with this, there is one more thing tho, would it be possible to get the notification to repeat a few time or until the door is closed as it only notifiys the once at the moment
You should be able to wrap the whole thing inside a 'repeat actions' action.
hows this done? do i start the repeat on the first line?
the notification keeps activating when the tv is off and the door has been closed too, it happens when someone walks into the room and leaves closing the door so it activates and don't know when to stop due to a closed door and the tv being off
You put the 'repeat actions' before the first thing you want to repeat and the 'end-repeat' after the last action you want to repeat.
