Im trying to setup a 4 button Tuya Scene Switch (Zigbee) and could use some help!
I press and hold the 3rd button to enter pairing mode, hubitat is able to find and create the (zigbee) device.
When I configure the device, I have selected Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint switch Driver, which is what I see in the device compatibility list - and what other folks seem to use
From what I can tell, at this point, I should click "Configure" and then "Child" devices should show up in the device list - however, when I click configure, nothing happens. No child devices appear. The events log doesn't register any button events or anything, not sure if it should. I have set up a dozen or so different devices, but this one is vexxing me - I am not familiar with the "Multi-Endpoint/Child" scenario so not sure I am doing that part right. Am I missing something?
Tried to add links and pictures - but you can't do that in a post? Can try to provide any info that would help with troubleshooting in followups I guess....
Are you talking about the battery powered one? I have one of those and I use the Tuya Zigbee Scene Switch driver, which has no children. If you have some other device than that, or have a specific reason for not using the driver specially written for it, ignore me.
I did try that driver - but didn't have luck there either and went back to the generic/multi-endpoint since that was what I was seeing on the device compatibility list for Tuya multibutton switch (though looks to me now like that is a different device than the scene switch...)
I removed and re-added the device, trying the Tuya Scene Switch Driver again - and it doesn't show any states / state variables, and pressing the buttons doesn't seem to generate events.
Ah! bummer. Thanks so much for your help here! Feels like I should have been able to track down that post - but wasn't able to get there. Thanks again!
Now to decide whether to wait for some developer heroes to work their way to this device, or to do a better job of research and go out and get one that is actually supported
