Tuya Zigbee Scene Switch - Multi-Enpoint not creating child devices

Im trying to setup a 4 button Tuya Scene Switch (Zigbee) and could use some help!

I press and hold the 3rd button to enter pairing mode, hubitat is able to find and create the (zigbee) device.

When I configure the device, I have selected Generic Zigbee Multi-Endpoint switch Driver, which is what I see in the device compatibility list - and what other folks seem to use

From what I can tell, at this point, I should click "Configure" and then "Child" devices should show up in the device list - however, when I click configure, nothing happens. No child devices appear. The events log doesn't register any button events or anything, not sure if it should. I have set up a dozen or so different devices, but this one is vexxing me - I am not familiar with the "Multi-Endpoint/Child" scenario so not sure I am doing that part right. Am I missing something?

Tried to add links and pictures - but you can't do that in a post? Can try to provide any info that would help with troubleshooting in followups I guess....

Thanks for any help yall!

Are you talking about the battery powered one? I have one of those and I use the Tuya Zigbee Scene Switch driver, which has no children. If you have some other device than that, or have a specific reason for not using the driver specially written for it, ignore me.

It is the battery powered one!

This one

I did try that driver - but didn't have luck there either and went back to the generic/multi-endpoint since that was what I was seeing on the device compatibility list for Tuya multibutton switch (though looks to me now like that is a different device than the scene switch...)

I removed and re-added the device, trying the Tuya Scene Switch Driver again - and it doesn't show any states / state variables, and pressing the buttons doesn't seem to generate events.

Thanks again for any help!

Anything appearing in the logs?

Only seeing what looks like "adding the device" stuff in the logs, no button presses or anything else showing up...

Oh it's a TS004F! Now there was one version of these the driver doesn't yet work for. I'll see if I can find the thread to check if it was this one

A few minutes later: State of Tuya / Smartlife Wi-Fi Integration - #18 by kkossev I don't think they've covered this model yet :frowning:

Ah! bummer. Thanks so much for your help here! Feels like I should have been able to track down that post - but wasn't able to get there. Thanks again!

Now to decide whether to wait for some developer heroes to work their way to this device, or to do a better job of research and go out and get one that is actually supported

You might not be able to tell at purchase time which version you are getting, that's the problem. One I have bought recently which was compatible with the driver is this Yagusmart one https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08J3TMGJH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I got two at different times and they were both TS0044

@b.schram try "Tuya Scene Switch TS004F" driver that is available for installation from the Hubitat Package Manager (HPM) community app.

Thank you for mentioning this! It worked for me
