Tuya Zigbee IR Controller

I purchased a battery powered Zigbee Tuya IR Remote. I've been using this driver.

I've been having issues with this device or maybe the driver with this device (not quite sure which...). It's great for simple, singular operations (turn an IR light on/off) and like that it (supposedly) lasts 3 to 6 months on 2xAAA batteries, but "more complex" or Hub heavy operations seems a bit buggy. For example, my motion Room Lighting rule works fine since it's just a 1 other light and fan; but when my "Night" mode routine to turn on outside lights and turn off inside lights runs, then it doesn't turn off the lights. It's a simple Room Lighting rule that changes with modes. I've created Virtual Switches that press the appropriate button on the IR Remote device. Manually turning the Virtual Switch on/off works. You'll notice that previous, successful "sendCodes" would be followed by "code fully sent"; however, the ones triggered by Night mode do not have this. I've also noticed the same behavior when it becomes Evening (supposed to turn on and they do not).

(Not pictured is all the other activity for other lights)

If anyone knows of a way around this, I'd love to hear it as I do like not having to worry about the battery for a while. I considered removing these from the Room Lighting "Mode" rule and creating a separate rule that triggers with "Mode", but has a Delay of maybe 10 seconds so it's not competing with other Hub activity; Otherwise, I might be going back to the Broadlink + Powerbank idea as that seemed to be much more reliable when it came to performance.
