Hello all
I'm planning to buy Hubitat, at first I was going to go into Fibaro ecosystem and z-wave in general but I can see that for the price of one fibaro flood sensor and I can buy 3 Tuya flood sensors, same for the others elements
Is Tuya sensors suppose to work? I see there're not on the supported devices. They are cheap and popular in my country
if you flash tasmota onto it, then yes. there are tons of posts on the forum about this
Thanks, I've looked into tuya-convert project. Why it needs a wifi dongle? I had in my mind to use only tuya zigbee components, no wifi at all
Tuya Zigbee devices are compatible with Hubitat if you can find a suitable driver. I currently have only one such device. It is the SOLE vibration/tilt sensor which is based on Tuya Zigbee. I am using a Konke motion sensor driver with the device.
Tuya is now a full member of the Zigbee Alliance (now Connectivity Standards Alliance), so they should be coming out with more Zigbee devices and drivers should become more readily available, but for now, it is hit and miss.
I've been using the Tuya leak sensors, window/door sensors, and motion sensors for a number of months. No issues, standard, built in drivers.
If you can, get the Tuya device with the larger battery (CR2 or CR123A), because they last longer.
