I'm trying to have an outlet turn on when a water sensor (or two) shows wet using Simple Automation Rules, and turns off when it shows dry. I have a floor drying fan plugged into the outlet. I thought this would be pretty straightforward. The outlet turns on when the water sensor shows 'wet' momentarily, but immediately turns off despite the water sensor still showing 'wet.'
Here's the rule:
And here is the log:
I get that the anti-Turn On fires based on the number of minutes from when the sensor is dry, but the sensor is not showing dry yet. What am I missing here???
Thank you for confirming that it's not just me
.
I forgot to mention that my hub is a C-8 running the latest 2.4.3.173 code.

Unless you are just wanting to use Simple Automation Rules the simplest way to do this is in Basic Rules.

To add a bit more color to LearningHubitat's post above, (newer) Basic Rules (BR) is the heir apparent to (older) Simple Automation Rules (SAR).
IIRC, although SAR is obviously still available to use, it's no longer being maintained by staff. So using BR instead of SAR is the smart play overall.

Thank you for the information about BR, I didn't realize it was the heir apparent. I setup a quick rule with BR and it works perfectly. Thank you!
I guess it's time to migrate my SAR rules to BR.
