Turn off switch with HD+ when not present

Trying to turn off a switch when I exit my home's geofence. Native geofencing with Hubitat doesn't work with my Samsung S23 with Android 14 as confirmed in this forum (and others).

Installed HD+ Dashboard and connected it to my Hubitat Hub. HD+ allows me to create a dashboard on the phone to control the switch locally and remotely and both work well. HD+ also works well to tell me on the phone that the device I want to control is Present or Not Present when I cross the geofence.
What I can't figure out is how to trigger Hubitat to actually turn the switch on and off automatically when I cross the geofence.

Welcome!

I do so by using Rule Machine. Use your device as a trigger, when device presence "changed" then set the actions accordingly. I'm not sure where you stand in your tech ability but there is definitely a learning curve when it comes to RM. If you're not familiar with RM, this is a good place to start. There is also a basic rules app and others that may be able to do this. I'm not sure as I don't use them.

My rule triggers on presence "changed" then conditional statements to check if I'm present or not, then runs my actions accordingly.

Thank you for your helpful suggestion CAZ. I have been working with Rule Machine but did not have a way of connecting a rule to a reliable "presence changed" event native to Hubitat. I installed HD+ Dashboard on my phone because it provides a reliable "presence changed" event. What was missing was how I connected the HD+ "presence changed" event to the Rule Machine.

Replying to my own post. I found a soulution.
I found what I was missing inside the HD+ Dashboard app to allow that app to control a device on the Hubitat network. When setting up a Geofence inside HD+ there are two settings at the bottom of the location map that allow for choosing a device and naming it. HD+ then changes the state of this device when my phone crosses the geofence.
