TS0001 (_TZ3000_skueekg3) smart switch not responding

I have some Mini Smart switch relays:
Model WHD02
TS0001
Manufacturer: _TZ3000_skueekg3

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005748270278.html

My hub is a C7 with up to date firmware 2.3.9.200

They have paired easily with the HUB but do not respond.

They weren't recognised during pairing and were set to 'Device'.
I have tried setting to Generic Zigbee outlet and a Genreic Zigbee switch without success.

This is from the device page:

and this is from the log

I haven't been able to find a driver

Does anyone know of a driver or might have any idea how to get this working?

Tuya Zigbee model TS0001 devices are typically compliant with the ZCL standard, i.e. the inbuilt 'Generic Zigbee Switch' diver should work, so there should be no need to look for a custom one. Maybe you have a Zigbee connectivity problem?

The easiest way to check whether a mains-powered Zigbee devices stays connected to your hub is to use the HE inbuilt 'Device' driver - click on the 'Get Info' button and check whether you will see the same fingerprint logs.

If there is a connectivity problem, the 'Get Info' will display the fingerprint only in a short time period (10-30 seconds) after the pairing. If the device stays connected, it always responds to the 'Get Info' command.

I tried switching back to ‘device’ saved and clicked get info. It goes grey but doesn’t actually do anything else.
I also tried removing the device and repairing, leaving as ‘device’ but get info still doesn’t respond.
One thing that is odd is that when pairing it offers the choice to replace previous, but there is no previous as these are new devices.
I also tried another new device which does exactly the same.

I’ve also noticed that it doesn’t show up on the device graph in zigbee settings.

Do the following (C-7 hub) :

  • bring the problematic Zigbee 3.0 device very close to the C-7 hub
  • reboot the hub (from the Settings->Reboot menu)
  • pair the device again as soon as the C-7 web UI becomes responsive after the reboot.

Once the device stays connected, you can move it to its final destination.

Great advice.
Did the steps suggested and it works. The Get info still doesn't do anything, but the main point is that when switched to Generic Zigbee Outlet it does.
I'll take it out to the workshop tomorrow and test there.
I would like to understand why that worked. I always used to pair close to the hub until I saw a youtuber, who seemed to know what he was talking about, say that devices should be paired where they are going to be used. His reasoning was that the best route back to the hub would be established during pairing.
When I look at the device graph, the sensors seem to take a bizarre route. I can see that it is in Beta and am not sure if it works properly or I just don't understand how the routing works.
