Trying to get Schlage FE 599 to work with Hubitat

Hello,

I am trying to get my Schlage FE 599 lock to connect to Hubitat. I have read through a bunch of old posts and tried everything they suggest but I m having n issue I have not seen described.

I used to use this lock with Vera so I reset it to factory settings, excluded it successsfully in Hubitat. When I go to include it it does get recognized and it says "Found Zwave Device #15, initializing" but it seems to hang here. This has happened a number of times and when I go into Settings > Zwave Details it shows the device at the bottom of the list but doesn't have a device name assigned, just a discover button which when I press spins for a bit and then refreshes the page without doing anything.

I have also pressed the refresh and repair buttons but nothing seems to work.

Any one seen anything similar or have any suggestions ?

I should also add that each time I go back into Zwave inclusion mode I get message at the bottom of the screen saying "Found Z-Wave device with id 15, initializing..."

I should also note that my hub is 1' away from the lock.

That lock (or the firmware Schlage has for it - v5.0x) seems to have huge issues with all 700-series z-wave controllers.

I have one of those FE-599 locks and it works well but I left it on a C-4 hub due to my concerns over pairing it to a C-7 (I didn't even want to try).
