Trouble connecting Lyric T6 Pro to HomeKit Controller Integration

I am trying to connect my Lyric T6 Pro (Wi-fi) thermostats to my C-8 Pro. I have the HomeKit Controller Integration installed, and my thermostats show up in the list available to be paired.

The issue is that the pairing code is dynamically generated by the thermostat and shows up on screen only after the pairing process begins.

So if I insert a code in Hubitat (since it won’t allow pairing without an 8 digit number entered) and hit Start Pairing, the correct code appears on the thermostat. This code disappears almost immediately when the pairing attempt fails with an Authentication Failed error (as the code initially entered does not match the generated code). If I try attempting to pair again with the generated code, a new code is generated and pairing fails again.

If I had an Apple device I could initiate the pairing process in Apple HomeKit to get the code to appear (then finish pairing via Hubitat), but I don’t have an iPhone.

Is there any way to start the pairing process in Hubitat before entering the code?

Not what you were asking for, but are you aware there is a community driver that should support the T6 Pro? It is in HPM if you want to give it a try. Search on my username (WindowWasher) if you want to try it.

I tried that first, but once I created a developer account it said it would take 1-2 weeks for the review process before (assuming it is approved) I can log into the account and generate an API key.

Well, that kind of stinks. You should be able to just use the API key that ships with the app for now and update it later when your account is approved. If you still have issues, PM me and I’ll generate a key for you.
