Transition of Lighting Across the Day / Night

I'll admit I'm being lazy here and not searching the Community like I probably should....

I have recently transitioned my lights from a Hue Bridge to my new C-7 hub and am interested in those who have implemented solutions for transitioning their lights between settings for "night mode" and "day mode". i.e. I want to transition between a predominantly "soft yellow" lighting during evening to an even softer orange at night to a much brighter white during the day.

I'm sure this has been discussed before, so am happy to be pointed to existing threads, though a summation of the outcome would be nice/

I wouldn't want to exclude any new HE users who may have forged their own path and "gone it alone".....

If you have any insights on how you achieved lighting across different modes and/or different light readings from an outside soutrce that would be interesting to hear about.

Simon

An example I'll use is my RGBW lighting in the house for cabinets. At 4pm I have them turn on a specific color (lighting strips at TV, Wall unit, over kitchen cabinets and under kitchen cabinets) come on at 85% for the color I'm using. Then I have another rule at 10pm that changes those to a really dark and low 35% output for night lighting and then at 6am turns them all off. Does this every day. I then go in once in a while and change the color of the lights at 4pm to be different when I'm tired of looking at those colors.

The simplest answer to this is to use the Motion and Mode lighting app to configure specific color temps and dimming levels for each mode.

There’s also a circadian daylight community app that will automatically adjust color temp and brightness for selected lights throughout the day.
