Total Connect Alarm 2.0

I suspect that the first step (barring technical cooperation from Alula) would be for someone with a network sniffer and an Alula BAT setup to see if it is speaking in plain text commands on the ethernet side of the Alula. I suspect at the very least it should be using web style encryption. But maybe an encrypted connection could be negotiated then send/receive common language commands. However, it could very easily be all encrypted proprietary protocols.

I'm just not too excited about adding another layer of tech that pretends to be a numeric keypad. Would be nice to interface with the one I already have running.

I think it is. I used a proxy debugging tool to see if I could figure out what is going on when arming/disarming via the web interface and as expected, it is all encrypted.
