To update, or not to update HE Firmware

Greetings All ...

I've had my two HE C-5 units now for over a year and have everything dialed in quite well. I'm pretty much done adding new devices or expanding on automations (until I'm not!).

Right now my units are at 2.2.2.129 and I use HubConnect for device sharing (I have a BUNCH of Lightify strips that I had to put on their own hub .. otherwise they would misbehave and screw up the mesh). 2.2.5.131 is available with lots of new drivers and several features. But I'm thinking "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"! Everything is very stable, I don't have to reboot the hubs and devices respond quite quickly (except for Honeywell TCC thermostats, but that is TCC's performance issue). I know I could eliminate HubConnect and use the new HE hub mesh tool but not sure if updating will result in having to spend hours and hours trying to fix what was previously working.

Thoughts from the forum?! Thanks!!!

:point_up_2: :point_up_2: :point_up_2:This would be my feedback.

That said, if you are asking, it’s probably because you are looking for something to do, so in that case, go for it! It will keep you busy for a while.

HubMesh works very well, and the improved stats in logs is great. Sounds like you're in a stable place. I like the new functionality, but you have to decide if it's worth the risk. You can always roll back easily. I made the mistake of updating many times in a row(all the incremental fixes) and lost my ability to go back to 2.2
2.2 was great for me, however the latest is also very stable for me.
