I'm Simon, not Simone...
And you're not standing on the porch with your dress waving...
Or, Badlands...:

RIP Clarence
I guess I should introduce some local talent....
I still keep (drunkeningly) keep coming back to this thread.... Like I do Bruce's music....

Some more local content... For those uninitiated Aussies... this does appear to be H&C playing at "the G", i.e. the Melbourne Cricket Ground, presumably playing something like the max crowd of 100K+... So much wrapped up in what the MCG represents to (sporting) Australians....

On the musical side, H&C are typical Aussie pub band from the 80's that had sustained success locally... Great band... IMHO... Seems a little passive aggressive putting IMHO in caps...
And if your disaffection with life has a particularly 90's / 2k feel, then you may appreciate some of Powderfinger's early work...

Or if you prefer Bruce's take on disco.... (Cover of Stayin' Alive... )

Nice Aus connection...
Honestly, who could seriously cover Born In the USA in the next 20 years...?

(I do get I am largely talking to myself at this point... Like many of my topics...)
Chris Cornell could probably nail it.
If he hadnโt died .
That is true, he did a great job of Nothing Compares to You.... But can't see too many claiming the same links in the song into the future... Or doing it justice....
Different, but still a great cover.... Such a shame how fame and mental health works out.... too many great performers that suffer so badly and don't find a healthy way out.
I do often find it hard to go by a live performance of Badlands....

Plus Bruce's ability to consume another existence and sing from the heart of those in the same situation....
That and Live performance of She's the One... Wow,, what a live performance back in the day.....

A follow up to the original post...

It must be said that 80's music does a better job of lifting the mood during poor economic times.... Not that I am personally experiencing that (nor did I in the 80's), but am not completely oblivious to what is happening...
