THIRDREALITY Zigbee water leak sensor cannot be added to dashboard

Hello,

I have a THIRDREALITY Zigbee water leak sensor installed and working with hubitat, but it does not appear in the "pick a device" drop-down in the dashboard to be able to add it.

The device is installed as a "Generic Zigbee Moisture Sensor (no temp)" and correctly reports "water" as "dry" or "wet" if it comes in contact with water.

The device is also selected and "allowed" in the dahsboard's "maker api".

But when I go to the dashboard I can't seem to find the device anywhere.

Any ideas?

What dashboard are you using? Hubitat's native dashboards are configured via the Hubitat Dashboard app on your hub and do not use the Maker API app, so if that is what your goal is, it's likely you added the device in the wrong app. If you are using a third-party solution, it's possible that it uses Maker API, but further troubleshooting would require knowing what that dashboard is.

I have one of these sensors and I was able to add it to a HE dashboard with no issues. So it is probably in line with what Bert said, you may be looking at two different things,

Does the third party “Dashboard” you are apparently using support leak sensors?

Is this the native Hubitat dashboard?

If so, go to Apps tab, scroll down to Hubitat Dashboard app, and pick the particular dashboard you want to add this sensor to. Is the device selected in this menu?

You can't just go to a dashboard itself and add a device. You must authorize it to be added via Dashboard app in the Apps menu. Devices don't automatically add to the Dashboard app when you add a new device.

Thank you for your help, it seems I was confused. I had an extraneous app called "Dashboard Maker API" that tricked me. Now that I allowed the devices from the "Hubitat Dashboard" app all is fine. Thanks again.
