I am having this exact issue - the button showing up as a door sensor in Tuya.
Problem is, I remove the button from the hub, change the button to normal pairing (flashing blue) and is fitted but connect to the hub at all (the hub is looking but the switch only stays in pairing mode for 10 seconds if I'm lucky. I keep turning it back on to pairing but it never picks up.
Weird thing is, as soon I turn it back to the echo mode (flashing alternating red and blue) it connects straight away ...?
