I have some Third Reality bulbs and they are selected in Hubitat under the HomeKit bridge. The home app on my phone says they are not HomeKit certified, and so some features won't work. They will turn on and off, but I can't do color changes from HomeKit. But, in digging around a bit, in the HomeKit app, it says the manufacturer of them is Hubitat, not Third Reality. I don't want to set them up on the HomeKit app directly for a few reasons. In the device settings in Hubitat, is there one of the options under Type that I could change it to, to make HomeKit think it's something that will work?
You're going to see "Hubitat" listed as "Manufacturer" for anything shared via the HomeKit Bridge Integration on Hubitat, so that much is normal.
Can you share more information about what the problem is? For example, do you not see color control for this device in Apple Home at all, or do you see it but it has no effect? Can you verify that you're able to use the "Set Color" command for this device on the device detail page on Hubitat? (If that doesn't work, nothing else will.) Any errors in Logs when you try from HomeKit?
Just curious, what other options do you have for doing this with this particular device?
In the Home app,I can turn them on and off, and dim them. I don't have any options for color temp or RGB. So it's the same as if it were a regular smart bulb.
On Hubitat, I can fully control them, including set color.
